Schools & Holiday Programme: 2010 – 2013 

The Foundation’s main priority is to work with children and young people. By working closely with schools the Foundation will deliver an after schools and holiday programme.

The Emerald Resort & Casino, are sponsors of the first Holiday and after schools programme which is delivered in Boipatong. The Emerald Resort & Casino are sponsoring the programme in Boipatong for 4 years.The first Holiday programme was delivered in Boipatong in December 2009. A total of 1500 young people accessed the programme over a 2 week period which provided fun, structured football coaching.The After schools programme will commence in February 2010.

The programme will:    

  • Deliver an after school football coaching programme
  • Provide a AMF kit bag for each participating school
  • Develop a schools  curriculum programme to be used by Education staff in the delivery of football coaching in curriculum time
  • Develop an internal support programme for schools who participate in the schools programme
  • Integrate issues of health

    • In 2011 the Schools & Holiday Programme will be rolled out to other Provinces.
