Coach Education Programme; 2010 - 2013

 

The Foundation believes there is a need to produce more skilled, qualified coaches, who can support young people  at every stage of their development. There is a need to identify coaches who are 'good teachers of the game', who will educate and inspire children & young people.The Aaron Mokoena Foundation sees The Coach Education Programme as the cornerstone that will have a significant and positive impact on all the Foundation's projects.

The aim for the Coach Education programme is:

  • To develop football co-ordinators  in Areas, District  & Provincial across the 9 SA provinces, 4 areas per Province
  • To provide opportunities for local coaches to access specialist training
  • To extend the schools football curriculum programme to 9 South African provinces (extend Gauteng)
  • To extend the local community coaches "add on" training in line with the schools coaching programme
  • To integrate the schools football curriculum programme to form part of teaching staffs formal in house training programme
  • The implementation of the AMF Charter Standard in Areas, Districts & Provinces
  • To  deliver a series of Coach Master classes for experienced coaches
